What a quote! And yes this is from an actual doctor! How many times have you heard something along these lines from your GP, Nutritionist or whoever you asked for advice about your body, diet, or just overall wellness? If you have then keep them close! If you haven't, it might be time to reconsider who you are taking advice from when it comes to your day-to-day wellbeing...here is the start of why...

Ayurveda is an ancient holistic medical system from India, literally meaning "Science of Life". It is more than 5,000 years old and focuses on balancing mind, body, and spirit..

Earlier today we dove into the magical world of Ayurveda and uncovered:

✨ What are the 3 doshas

✨ How our unique constitution shapes our health

✨ Familiarity and links with its neighbour old medical system from China, both using the five elements

What are the doshas and what do they refer to:

Vata = Air & Movement 💨

Pitta = Fire & Transformation 🔥

Kapha = Earth & Stability 🌍

Your dosha isn't just a body type - it's a lifestyle blueprint!

Throughout the years I have done a lot of dosha tests and it's always resulted in the duo Vata-pitta. And it's normal! If you look at it from your essence rather than the way you re behaving/being affected right now, then your combination is the same your whole life. The day to day adds various flavours to that combination, and you have the opportunity to balance it out.

INVITATION FOR VATA-PITTA TYPES

So for my lovely Vata-pitta buddies, are you feeling scattered or overstimulated? Your dosha might be calling for some spiritual TLC!

As a Vata-Pitta type, you need practices that:

✨ Ground your mental energy

✨ Cool down your inner intensity

✨ Create calm and focus

3 Quick Spiritual Practices Just for YOU:

1️⃣ MEDITATION: 10 mins/day

Calms racing thoughts

Reduces mental overstimulation

Brings centeredness

2️⃣ BREATHWORK: Try Nadi Shodhana (Alternate Nostril Breathing)

Balances nervous system

Reduces anxiety

Harmonises Vata-Pitta energy

3️⃣ GENTLE YOGA:

Slow, intentional movements

Grounding poses like Child's Pose

Restorative practices to reset

Pro Tip: Consistency matters more than perfection!

Start small and stay curious 🙏🏻
